Parade Day

 
Nothing quite like the Baylor Homecoming parade for creating a little family tradition. While Paul and Brooke were at the Texas Motor Speedway, attending their own traditional family event, the kids and I had ours. Jaicey spent the night. Lacey was slingin' drinks til the wee hours, so we didn't expect her to get up. But she and Kris surprised us and met us there. We had a thermos of hot chocolate and all the candy we could eat.

Brush with Celebrity

It's not often you get to see a real crime fighter in action. As luck would have it, we caught a glimpse of Super Girl this morning as she was about to take off to an alarm. Happy Halloween.

Fall - Ain't it beautiful

 
Today was such a beautiful day. Crisp and cool this morning, with a sun that warmed your bones. Paul and I did a lot of running around today. Photos for church directory, oil change, new work boots, Santa hats for the Christmas cards... just lots of errands. We stopped at one little store that had something out front that I wanted to check out for the girls. That didn't pan out, but my husband bought me a present while we were there. A coral necklace and earrings that look a lot like a chili pepper ristra. Two jewelry purchases in less than two months. He's feeling pretty smug.

Aunt Happy

This is my dear, sweet, Aunt Happy. She is not only my dad's sister, she was married to my mom's brother. So she is double good. She still lives in Cortez, Colorado. This place is one of my six favorites in the world. Mostly because she is there.

Art Auction Weekend

 
Well, we kinda flaked out on the art auction in Dallas. We opted for Christy and Gary's house in the hill county, and watching the auction online. Christy didn't manage to take home any art, but we certainly had a good visit. Perhaps next year we will meet up with Ken and Becky and buy us a Vonderdonk. Thanks you guys for an awesome weekend.

Night out in ole Waco

 
Judy, Don, Lacey, Bo, Kris, JC, Paul and I went to eat at Siete Mares, and afterward took a walk on the suspension bridge. It was a beautiful night in Central Texas.
