SuperGirl

JaiceyBelle is growing so fast. She will be a year old on the 23rd of August. She is still just a little bitty, but sharp as a tack.
School started this week. Logan had her last first day in high school. Can't believe she is a senior.
Bo is in 7th grade. Started football practice today. We have to have him at school at six thirty in the morning. Arg... I think that is gonna be a daddy job. 

Downtown Indianapolis

Downtown Indy is a beautiful place. Craig and Jean were excellent hosts. This circle is in the middle of town and houses a museum about the Civil War under the monument.

Seems you can never leave town without bumping into someone you know. We were in the mall in Indianapolis when we saw this familier face. For those of you that don't know, Sophia Young played on the Baylor Lady Bears Championship Basketball Team. She is was in town with her WMBA team. Having a snack in the food court. 

BRICKYARD

If you look closely at the end of this street, you can see the stands on the Northwest end of the Brickyard. The atmosphere in these yards was one I had never experienced. Part backyard bar-b-que, part tailgate, part pre-race frenzy.

Sorry Jean!

I promised Jean that I wouldn't post this online, but it is such a sweet picture. We had such a nice time at Craig and Jean Donaldson's house in Indiana. THANK YOU! Rachel was precious and just makes us realize how much we miss them being here in Texas. Although, we decided that Indy was a beautiful place to live. So clean and green.
Paul, Craig and Bo went to Terre Haute to a sprint car race on Sat Night that gave the Brickyard experience a run for the money. I got to go to the Brickyard Race on Sunday and it was quite a hoot. This was so different than anything I had ever experienced. The racetrack is smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood. The residents make the most of it by parking cars in their yards. We parked at a friend of Craigs for a while. There were tents, motor homes, and most of the folks had been parking at his house for years. Closer to race time, the guys decided that I couldn't walk that far, so the home owner hopped on his scooter and went to find us a parking place closer to the track. They were so nice. 

Vacation

Finally a brief rest. Paul, Bo and I are off to Craig and Jean Donaldsons for a quick vacation before school starts. Logan is with them at the moment as her vacation started about 10 days ago. She went up to Terra Haute to visit a friend that she did voluteer conservation work with last year. Brooke can't go, but will have a wonderful time with us gone I'm sure, as she is throwing a girls weekend for her friend Christy who will be getting married soon.

Brooke is all registered for the Dental Asstistant program at TSTC. She was excited to show off her scrubs. Hopefully since this is a self paced program and she has all her basics out of the way she will breeze through quickly and be accepted in to a Hygene program in Feb. At the moment she is saving us down at my office. Training new staff and getting things organized.

Lacey and Kris have decided to stay in Waco. I'm sure happy for selfish reasons, but sorry that Kris had to put his dream of being chef on hold.
