JaiceyBelle was hangin' out with her Uncle Bo, watching Transformers and playing with his Guitar Hero guitar today. She surprized her mommy today. Lacey was telling Kris that there was a cold front coming in, so perhaps they needed to postpone the trip to the " Z - O - O". She spelled it out to avoid any confusion. But... JaiceyBelle said, " I wanna go to the zoo"!!!
Yes my grand is the smartest kid on the block.

Logan goes to school

This was our sweet Logan's first week as a college coed. She seems to very excited and even enjoyed her first "homework online" experience. She is taking classes on Tuesday/Thursday so that she can continue to work at The Compass. She is still dating Phillip Eby. Paul and I approve.
Lacey and Brooke are both in school full time also.

Brooke is working hard in Corpus Christi this semester, as her classes now include seeing patients. This isn't a commentary on Brooke, but how bad would your teeth really have to be, to be someone's first patient? Yikes. Now, if they new Brooke, there wouldn't be a problem. We know her, and her skills.

Lacey continues with her fulltime student/fulltime employee/fulltime mommy schedule. Shte is attending MCC with Logan. She recently was promoted to Impress manager at Office Max. Having to learn some of what her mommy does. Too bad she didn't learn it from me years ago while I was doing it at home. Hmmm seems to me I might have mentioned that at one time...

Can't Wait!

Paul and I are looking forward to the arrival of our new addition. No... not a baby, a new plumber! Yeah!!!!! Lee and his lovely wife Chris are due in Waco mid February. They are moving here from Reno, Nevada. Lee and Paul worked together for years at at Metro.
Can't wait to welcome them and their two kids.

The Best Toys

As everyone who has ever been a kid can testify... it is the big cardboard boxes that make the best toys. JCB had the best time with this one. She found a plastic thermometer case that whistled... and a big ole box. That was great weekend entertainment at Grammies.

We welcomed my friend Lisa's first grandbaby. Macie weighed 9lbs. 8oz and was 21 inches long. She was so pretty and pink. Didn't have the shock of black hair that her mommie had when she was born... but instead had light brown curly hair. She sure is precious.

Christmas 2007

Well we had a good year didn't we! In retrospect it's easier to see the high points. Spring Break in Colorado with all my kids stands out as my favorite memory. I think they would all agree it was a good time. Logan, Bo and I started out 2007 by almost getting snowed in in Portales. We managed to drag out just before the bad part hit and made it to Jany's in Fritch with Judy in tow. This year Bo and I were the only two that made our yearly pilgramage to NM. My oldest sister has finally come home.. and visiting her at the home place is well.... like going home.
I got to see Aunt Betsy, Ruth Burns and Hubert Morgan. Characters in the play that is my life.

Had all the kids, and their significant others at home for Christmas Eve. We had an Exotic Pizza Bar, with everything from Chinese Eggplant to hamberger crumbles as toppings. Several kinds of cheeses and sauces. Regular toss your own crust or french bread. It was fun.
Christmas Day was spent at the Bukowski Family Christmas Extravaganza.... too much food...too much drink... too much football... topped off with way too much bowling.
New Years Eve was quite around here. All the kids were off with friends. It was just Popo, Grammy and JaiceyBelle. Brooke and Jarrod dropped by for a little while and we watched "Babe".
I have much to be thankful for and much to look forward to.
