Family Photos...

Imagine at age 48 someone gives you a glimpse into your childhood. My sister who has moved back to the old home place, found a cache of slides in the cupboards above the washer and dryer. She has been going through them and taking the keepers to someone that can burn a CD for us all. The photos she has sent, were like a recovered memory. Such a warm feeling, but strangely unfamiliar. Between the three of us, we can piece together what we thought were the circumstances for the photos...but having never seen these slides before, the memories surrounding them have faded.

You express some of my thoughts and emotions of the past week as I have heard from people I haven't been in touch with for over 30 years. They are recovered memories with such warm feelings and because of the distance, somewhat unfamiliar.
